Plenty to Do =========================
Silver Spur Retreat Center has so many choices of things to do, you will have a hard time deciding what to do. Kids will love the 2-stories high play structure. There’s a peaceful deck for those who prefer the peace and quite and basketball, baseball, swimming and hiking for those that are active. There is even a climbing wall and water slide (additional fees apply). And you will have to try Silver Spur’s one of a kind Carpet Ball.
Of course, we will come up with some fun of our own including large group games on the playing field, a basket ball tournament, and more.
Meals at retreat will be served buffet style, served in the centrally located dining room. The wholesome variety of food will be sure to please every palate. Those with special dietary needs such as food allergies or needing a vegan diet will be accommodated.
Each morning and evening we will meet together for worship and person encouragement. Arrangements for our speaker are still being made. Meetings are begin planned to be enjoyable and helpful for the whole family.
What will it cost? =========================
It all sounds fun but of course your next questions are, “What does it cost?” and “How will I afford it?” Please hear this: The
church is devoted to making this retreat accessible to everyone who wants to attend. We want to work with you to find a way for you to attend. Costs have been kept as low as possible and we offer a discounted rate for those in families with children. (See the chart at the right for rates.)
Our main fundraiser for camp will be a multi-family yard sale in front of the church this spring. Sell that extra stuff in your garage or home and make money to pay for Retreat. Each person or family that has signed up for Retreat will be offered a booth at the sale at no charge. Rates include rooms, meals and all programs.
Accomodations =========================
Silver Spur Lodge is right in the center of camp. Housing wings meet at a center lounge connected to the Dining Hall. Rooms accommodate up to six people with shared bathrooms per wing. Large families can be accommodated with adjacent rooms that have a door in between.
Deluxe rooms with private bathrooms are also available at a higher rate.
