CNC has a great schedule of events for World Focus Week featuring Bob and Brenda Boston starting February 6. But there’s no need to limit yourselves to only those times. See some of the ministries they have been involved in by checking out this video. At only a minute and a half long, it’s just enough to whet your appetite for more of Paraquay. Funny, there just happens to be another video of Paraquay and some of our missionaries here.

In February we will be privileged to have with us Bob and Brenda Boston, Christian and Missionary Alliance workers in Paraquay. The Bostons have nearly twenty years of missions experience under their belt as well as a tenacious passion for people. Currently they are living in the States as Brenda undergoes cancer treatment.
We will keep the Bostons busy with many opportunities to connect. Among them are:
- Men’s Breakfast featuring Bob Boston – Saturday, February 6, 8:oo am
- Women’s Tea with Brenda Boston – February 6 at 2:00 pm.
- Bob preaching Sunday morning – February 7, 9:30 & 11am.
- Missionary share time with Brenda in Children’s Ministry – February 7 during services.
- Revolt college/career group – February 7 from 6:00 pm.
- PEP 55+ brunch with the Bostons – Thursday, February 11, 10:00 am
- Revel/React youth group – Thursday, February 11, 7:00 pm.

542 Campaign
By Pastor Mike
The “2” in “5-4-2” stands for two people; Susan Wright and Jeff Davies. Susan directs the Women’s ministries, small groups, and oversees Children’s Ministries. Jeff is moving into the role of Executive Pastor. That means he will be helping to administrate our ever growing ministries at CNC and help provide pastoral care for the congregation.
Susan finished her Master’s Degree from Western Seminary in August. In September, the board decided to hire her full time. In our 2009 budget we set aside enough monies for 8 months of part-time employment and four months of full-time employment for Susan. Our 2009 giving is on track to meet this need! In 2010 we will need to increase the budget to cover 1twelve months of full time employment for Susan.
Jeff has also been full time with us for several years now, but his salary has been subsidized by the Central Pacific District and other supporters inside and out of the Church. We have paid only a portion of his salary out of the General Fund giving. This coming year, the Governing Board has made the decision to support him fully from General Fund giving because the other support is coming to an end.

To keep Susan and Jeff at their current salaries we need an additional $40,000.00 given to the General Fund than has come in this year. This may seem like a daunting task to you, as it did to me, before I took the “5” into account.
The “5” in the “5-4-2” stands for $5 a week. If 154 people will commit to give $5 a week, in addition to what they are already give, the total will add up to $40,000.00. Jeff and Susan will be able to continue their ministries without suffering a financial setback. Also, the ministries we have come to enjoy will continue. In other words, it will take five dollars a week for two people to continue to minister. “5-4-2”
Will you please pray about whether God would have you make this additional sacrifice? Robin and I have prayed and believe God wants us to give more than $5 a week in additional giving. We are blessed to be in a position to do so.
If you would like to pledge to the 5-4-2 Campaign, email us at office@cnchurch.org and let us know about your decision. Whatever you decide, thanks for your continued support of the ministry of CNC
God bless,
Pastor Mike
