The year has only just begun, and we are already off to a fast start. 2020 is shaping up to be a great year of outreach for Cordova Neighborhood Church. On Saturday, February 29, Jenny Arnez and I will be holding a seminar on discipleship. As believers, nothing brings us greater joy than seeing and hearing of others coming to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. But for many the process of evangelism (telling people the good news about Jesus) and discipleship (showing people how to live like Jesus) makes us uncomfortable. Dan and Tammy have been with the Christian and Missionary Alliance Marketplace Ministries since 1997. They have three grown children, two daughters that are married with two kids each and another on the way and a son who is attending Wheaton College. Dan and Tammy helped plant churches in Japan for four years and then moved to Papua, Indonesia in 1997. They helped start a study abroad program for north American college students interested in missions. Next they moved to Hillcrest School in Sentani, Papua Indonesia, a high school for missionary kids. At the present time they are on an extended furlough, helping their second daughter and her husband and living with them in San Leandro. Dan t

This month we meet on February 11, 2:00-4:00 pm at Sunrise Waffle Shop. This book club is open to anyone. February’s book is Laughing Gas by P.W. Wodehouse.4th Sunday Meal will be February 23.
