Neighborhood
We love our neighborhood and support local efforts to reach out to our community.
Puzzles and Pies Club
"Students play puzzles and eat pie, provided by Mr. Cooley and friends." You can be that friend by providing a fresh baked or store-bought pie for the Puzzles and Pies club at Mitchell Middle School.
They meet on Tuesday afternoons so you can coordinate with Phil Cooley to drop off your pie.
School Fund
The School Fund helps local schools in our community with needs as they arise. Recently, our School Fund provided frog kits for dissection:
"Good morning! Our Frog kits arrived and my class is SO excited!!” and “We did our dissection today. It was a success. Thank you so much for providing this opportunity for our kids. It means the world!”
For more information on how to give to this fund, please contact Jessica.
Food and Sock Drives
Throughout the year, we host canned food drives and sock drives to collect donations of unexpired canned and non-perishable goods and clean, unused socks for those in need. Check our Events page to see when the next donation is happening.
CNC Garden Project
Our garden currently has 5 raised beds and 19 mounds that are growing an assortment of sunflowers, herbs, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, and pumpkins. Last year. we grew and sold 100 pumpkins to raise money for the Benevolent Fund (see below). We are excited for the 7 varieties of pumpkins we are growing this year! Click here or on the pumpkin sprout picture for more photos!
Benevolent Fund
This money is used in our community, for Christian and Missionary Alliance Services, and for people within our congregation who have a financial need. Each month a portion of the benevolent giving is sent to the Cordova Community Food Locker and CAMA Services.
If you would like to give to this fund specifically, visit our Give page.
Meals On Wheels
The first Wednesday of each month, CNC hosts the Meals on Wheels distribution on our parking lot. If you are interested in receiving meals or know someone who could benefit from this service, please check out the Meals on Wheels website.
