Women's Events

By Pastor Susan Wright

A huge thank you!

Thanks so much to the dozens of people who made the October Neighborhood Meals a success. People brought food, helped the night of the event, made/brought scarves, socks and hats. We blessed many people in our community.

Four events to finish out 2019.

1. We are having an Operation Christmas Child Packing Party on Thursday, November 7 in Rudat Hall at 2:00 pm. If you’d like, bring some items to pack into the boxes. You can also donate money to pay for shipping for a box ($9). FYI – Turn in your completed OCC shoe boxes no later than Sunday, November 17.

2. Gratitude Mug and Muffin is Saturday, November 9th in Rudat Hall from 9:30-11:00 am. During our time together, we will hear how gratitude has made a difference in some women’s lives, craft a gratitude item, visit/pray with one another, and of course, eat and drink from our mugs. This event is only 90 minutes, so, be sure to arrive on time; maybe come a little early so you can arrange the food item you bring. RSVP on the Sign-Up Wall in the church lobby.

3. Our last women’s Reading Group in 2019: Monday, December 2, 7:00 pm at the home of Gillian Rouge. We are reading The 13th Gift: A true story of a Christmas miracle by Joanna Smith. There is also a cookie exchange planned for that night.

4. Save the Date for our wonderful White Elephant Christmas Party – Friday, December 13 at 6:30pm in Rudat Hall. We are asking you ladies to bring a dozen of your fave Christmas appetizer, sweet or savory. But before you start searching for a white elephant item and a food item to share, RSVP on Sign-Up Wall in the church lobby.

We have a Women’s Ministry brochure for September through December. Be sure to pick one up from the literature rack near the women’s restroom in the lobby. Also, check out the Women’s Ministry bulletin board for the full schedule. If you have questions, contact Pastor Susan at 825-0184 or
